Nashville Symphony

Specially designed for children with autism and other disabilities that cause sensory sensitivities, this magical afternoon of music features The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, the Overture to The Magic Flute, “Flight to Neverland” and more. Concertgoers of all ages are invited to enjoy the Nashville Symphony in a safe and welcoming environment where listeners can move freely and make noise without any restrictions. This concert is in February of 2018, so there is plenty of time to plan! More info here.

TRIAD

Vanderbilt’s Community Engagement Program offers several sensory friendly events throughout the holidays for your family! You can see the schedule here.

Autism Speaks

Santa welcomes children of all ages and abilities! All families with children with autism and other special needs can enjoy the time-honored tradition of a visit with Santa, in a more subdued and calm environment. Sensory-friendly Santa events are free and keepsake photo packages will be available for purchase. Click here for a location near you!

Nashville Children’s Theatre

NCT welcomes everyone to our performances, but we know that some families hesitate to bring their children to live theatre without knowing how they might react. The Sensory Friendly Performances are designed to be a safe and accepting environment where children with disabilities or sensory sensitivities and their typically developing peers are free to speak and move in reaction to the story being told onstage. Browse our sensory friendly programs here!
