About the ATC
The Autism Therapy Center (ATC) provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services involving regularly scheduled therapy
sessions, with a heavy emphasis on parent training. ABA interventions at the ATC target skills such as functional
communication, activities of daily living (e.g., toileting, tooth brushing, hand washing), functional/academic skills, play, and
social skills. They also work to decrease inappropriate behaviors (e.g., aggression, tantrums and self-stimulatory behaviors).
The ATC offers services at both of our offices, in-home, and in school. Each child is provided an initial assessment, during
which a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts a skills assessment (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and AFLS), a Functional
Behavior Assessment (FBA), and develops a treatment plan targeting any deficits and problem behavior goals identified. A
Registered Behavior Technician is assigned to directly implement the treatment plan under BCBA supervision, assisting in a
team-centered approach to effective intervention.
