Stephanie joined AutismETC in March 2017. Originally from New York, she moved to the Dominican Republic and finished middle and high school there. She then moved back to N.Y. to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University, with minors in Social Work and Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies. The majority of her experience with special needs stems from her now 13-year-old brother, who has severe developmental delays. She has also worked with young children as an English Preschool teacher in the Dominican Republic, and has volunteered to work with children with autism, schizophrenia, ADHD, and other children who have the need for occupational, speech and physical therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing, watching TV, and enjoying great weather with her husband and golden retriever at local dog parks.
